This is the final part of swatches of the Up Colors holographics collection. There are 12 of them and they come in a 10 ml bottle. I received the collection in a swap and do not know how they compare to the other holos that I have, so look out for comparison swatches coming soon!
You can see the previous posts about this collection here: part 1 of 4part 2 of 4part 3 of 4.

Up Colors - Cromoterapia (pics heavy)

Hey lovelies!

Well it's my first official mani post, and I have for you a beautiful polish that I got in a swap with my friend Lola from Brazil. It is from the brand Up Colors and Cromoterapia (Chromotherapy) is its name. It is a multichrome that flashes gold, copper, pink, and purple and I will be showing you swatches of it by itself and over black. From my researches, I found out that chromotherapy is a form of medicine in which each color has a therapeutic purpose. I don't know if it is true but I love this polish and it does make me feel happy to see the color changes with each hand movement.

Three coats of Cromoterapia and one coat of Seche vite - All pictures are taken outside under the sun light.

Up Colors Holographics - Part 2 of 4

Hello!

Today, I have for you the second part of my swatches of the Up Colors Holographics collection. I love all the colors I am about to show you. I have none of them in my stash and it was really hard to pick a favorite. Without further notice, I present to you Ouro boreal, Chuva de prata, and Grafite night.
Enjoy! All pictures are two coats of the polish with top coat.

Up Colors Holographics - Part 3 of 4 (Pinks)

Good evening lovelies!

I'm sorry I have not been posting manis lately because I have been so busy with the shop opening. I really want to say thank you so much, you made it a success and a great experience :-) To make up for this little absence, I will have the final parts of the Up Colors holographic collection. Part 3 is about the pinks and nudes and I love them all. All pictures show two coats of the polish and one coat of Seche vite.

Up Colors Holographics - Part 1 of 4 (Blues)

Hello!

This is a follow up on my last post and I really have no words to describe those polishes, so I will let the pictures do the talking. Today I am showing you Azul Disco, Azul Arco-Íris, and Verde 360, the blues of the Up Colors Holographics collection, which is comprised of 12 amazing polishes. It took two coats to be opaque and dried fast. I had no issue with streakiness or goopiness. I really love the formula and for a 10ml bottle, it can go a long way. And yes! It does show some holo indoors but reveals its true beauty under the sun. Enjoy! All pictures are with top coat (sorry for the excess cuticle oil too!).

Gradient nails tuto

Hello!
Some of you requested a long time ago a gradient tutorial. I did it but I'm so sorry to only post it now. I hope the ease of it will make you want to try! It's the technique that I  use for all my gradients. A gradient is a mix of colors that fade into each other. Not to be confused with ombre or skittles.
Bonjour!

Good morning!

It is finally sunny so I can wear some of my Up Colors. I will probably swatch them in two parts (warm and cool tones) because I have other Brazilian polishes to show you!

All pictures were taken with flash.

Family picture :-)

2nd row: grafite night, chuva de prata, azul disco, azul arco iris, verde 360, ouro boreal

Up Colors - Mutação (pics heavy)

Good afternoon!

Today, I have for you Mutação, another gorgeous multichrome from the Brazilian brand Up Colors. It shifts from gold to green to crimson to burgundy. It is seriously beautiful over black or by itself. Mutação was very easy to apply and only took two coats to make it fully opaque. I got this polish and lots of beautiful others in a swap, but did not have to mail a package because my buddy was coming in vacation in my city (how lucky am I?) so we did meet in person! It was funny because we did not speak each other language, but also beautiful to share something in common. Great memories!
Prepare to drool! I used to take my pictures with my cellphone, but last week, I got a brand new camera for my brother's birthday and I had to test it :-) All pictures were taken in a natural light setting.

Guest Post by A Little Polish

Hey lovelies! It's time for Stephanie from A Little Polish to take over my blog. We met over a year ago in the Nail Challenge Collaborative, where we got to bond over each other nail art. I love what she prepared for you ladies and will definitely give it a try. Thank you Steph!

Hello Loves! This is Stephanie over from A Little Polish. I was really honored when Karine asked me to do a guest post for her while she is travelling; her nails always look awesome, she is super created and we have become nail friends for a while now through our participation in the Nail Challenge Collaborative.

Karine asked me to share with you my favorite type of nail art so I knew exactly what I wanted to do. If you read my blog you know it as a striped gradient, but I have also heard people describe it as tie die/drip mani.

K's Special Fridays #2 - Blanche Neige

Evening y'all :-)

Today's post is a little bit late and I apologize in advance for the crappy pics that I took like 5 mn ago. Last week, I showed you Black Galaxy a black holographic franken made with spectraflair. Today, I have for you Blanche Neige, a white jelly with fine silver and holographic glitter. I'm not a fan of white polishes (unless I'm using it as a base) so I decided to cheer up one of those by mixing it with Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope and some nail art glitter. I'm pretty happy with the results, I can layer it over bright colors and it is fully opaque in three coats (but you can get away with two).

Name: Blanche Neige (Snow White) - if you noticed most of my polishes names are/will be in French because it is my first language - when in doubt ask me or google :-)
Recipe: Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope + 20 drops of Wet N Wild French White Creme + Silver nail art glitter (sorry I don't remember the name)

Enjoy and see you later for part 1 of the Up Colors holographic swatches :-)

Dote Holográficos - Luxo

Hello!

I will be posting a lot for a couple weeks (lots of untrieds to go through!) so don't be scared! I hope this pretty will lighten up your day as it did for mine. I received Luxo in a swap but didn't have the time to try it until now. Luxo is part of the holographic collection of the Brazilian brand Dote and is a blue holo. It comes in an 8ml bottle (as most of the Brazilian brands I have) and dries fast. The holographic prism is not as pronounced as in the Up Colors, it is very weak actually but I still like it.
All swatches show two coats of Luxo without top coat.

Star Gazer 305 - Duochrome goodness!

I'm bored... and annoyed by the new collections coming up in the US, there is nothing new, always the same colors/finishes remixed and recycled. Or maybe it's just me... I wish some of them take example on Layla and Hits and come up with new concepts. Well, to make up for my lack of interest in what we have here, I have been swapping a lot in order to discover international brands. You already know my love for Brazilian and European polishes. Today, I have a pretty received from my UK friend Aimee at Persistently Glittery and it's a duochrome! Star Gazer 305 is a blue to purple glassfleck duochrome. It has a very rich pigmentation and is opaque in two coats. Can I say WOW!!

OPI - Number One Nemesis

Hey!
I have another favorite of the OPI Spiderman collection that is Number One Nemesis. I didn't like swatches of this one but I needed it when I saw it in real life. It is a silvery foil base with gold and green shimmer (the green was hard to capture in the pictures). It is very sheer at one coat but the second one evens it out and reveals its true awesomeness! Thanks to OPI for stepping up! What are your favorites colors of this collection?
The following pictures show two coats of Number One Nemesis without top coat.

Guest Post by A Girl and Her Polish

Hello ladies! The talented Katee, who owns the blog A Girl And Her Polish is taking over today! If you don't know Katee, she is THE stamping master!!! She always has amazing nail art combinations, and really takes stamping to another level. Being members of the Nail Challenge Collaborative got us to bond and I am so pleased with what she prepared for you. Enjoy!

I am so excited to be guesting for Karine today! She is such an awesome lady and nail blogger! We have gotten close through our nail challenge group and I am always amazed with the designs she comes up with! You ROCK lady!!

For my guest post I decided to share a very easy nail art technique.  If you happen to follow me you probably know that stamping is the technique that I use a lot but I am not sharing that today. I have done a couple how-to stamping posts and I wanted to do something that is not that difficult.  Granted stamping isn't that difficult but it can take awhile to get good at it.

Another technique that I love, and is easy to do, is the Saran Wrap technique.  If you haven't done this yet I highly recommend it!  For today's how-to I used Karine's favorite colors, blue and purple!

I started with three coats of Essie To Buy or Not To Buy.  This is a thinner Essie that can be a little streaky but it is a gorgeous purple with a subtle blue shimmer.

Barry M Cobalt Blue ft Cover Band Sticks N Stones

Blue lover stop here!
First I'm slowing a bit on nail art to appreciate plain colors. I will try to wear them alone for a day or two before spicing them up. I have on my nails Cobalt Blue by Barry M. The formula and brush size makes it easy to apply the polish. You get full coverage in one coat but I went with two. Cobalt Blue dries quickly, it's an amazing blue creme that you can wear all year. I love it as much as Nails Inc Baker Street (my ultimate blue)

This is 2 coats of Cobalt Blue without top coat. Haha I'm glad that my friend Aimee in the UK gifted it to me.

Dry Marble fail

Hello!
I'm starting the day with a failed manicure :( I tried to achieve a dry marble after seeing a picture on Pineterest. It looked simple, dropping different polishes on your nails and mixing them with a toothpick to get a marble effect. I went with pastels this time but I think that bold and bright colors, or gold and black will give a more contrasting look. I hope you like it!

Impala - Na Mira 3D (pics heavy)

Hey!

I need to plan a trip to Brazil, lol seriously all of their polishes I own are just amazing! Today I'm showing you Impala Na Mira 3D, another pretty received from a swap. It is a sheer goldish/silver base with scattered holo particles and pink/purple flash. I'm not a fan of scattered holos, but this one is just magnificent! It is pretty sheer so I'm sure I can use it as a top coat over other colors. It comes in a 7.5 ml bottle. I'm used to the Impala brand because they have a small booth in my local mall (along with a Konad booth too!) so I went to get a back up of Na Mira 3D but they did not have it. Bummer! Well enjoy the pics!
