Layla Hologram Effect - Cloudy Violet

Sit down and hold your breath for the gorgeousness I have for you today! I lusted on Cloudy Violet as soon as it was realeased as part of Layla's 2nd holograhic collection. It is a dusty purple that is opaque in 2 coats and that is SO distracting to the eye that I couldn't stop staring at my nails. I could wear it for ever lol. Take a look for yourself and tell me I'm wrong. What I used: Layla Cloudy Violet, Sally Hansen Silver Sweep, BM 307

Asseyez-vous et retenez votre souffle pour la beauté que j'ai pour vous aujourd'hui! J'ai convoité Cloudy Violet dès qu'il a été mis en vente pour la 2e collection holograhique de Layla. Il s'agit d'un violet poudreux qui est opaque en 2 couches et qui est si distrayant que je ne pouvais m'empêcher de regarder mes ongles. Je pourrais le porter pour toujours lol. Jetez y un coup oeil et dites-moi que j'ai tort. Ce que j'ai utilisé: Layla Cloudy Violet, Sally Hansen Silver Sweep, BM 307

Star Gazer - 307

Hi This is by far my favorite Star Gazer. 307 is really a boring name for that green to purple shimmery polish. Yes it is a duochrome gem, opaque in 3 coats. It dried fast with easy application although I found the brush small. 307 reminded me of Orly Space Cadet or Accessorize Aztec; they might (or not) be dupes. Well this completes my Star Gazer collection, I hope you like it!

Salut C'est de loin mon Star Gazer préféré  307 est vraiment un nom nul pour ce vernis qui change du vert au violet. Oui c'est un petit bijou de duochrome, opaque en 3 couches. Il a séché rapidement en plus d'une pose facile même si j'ai trouvé le pinceau petit. 307 me fait penser à Orly Space Cadet ou Accessorize Aztec, ils pourraient (ou non) être dupes. Hello dolls! Stargazer is a brand I got to try when they released duochromes. It was my bday month in October and I received 309 as a gift. It is a beautiful magenta shimmer with purple reflects. Kind of sheer but it gets fully opaque with 3 coats. I did the little design with BM 02 and Color Club Worth The Risque. Overall I don't have complaints about 309.

Salut mes poupées! Stargazer est une marque que j'ai essayée quand ils ont sorti des duochromes. C'était le mois de mon annif en Octobre et j'ai eu 309 comme cadeau. C'est un magenta aux reflets violet. Il est un peu transparent mais devient complètement opaque avec 3 couches. J'ai fait le petit dessin avec BM 02 et Color Club Worth The Risque. En gros, je n'ai rien à redire sur 309.

Valentines Day Nail Art

Happy Valentine's day to ya'll and for those of you who don't celebrate it, well have a good Thursday! I am wearing Rimmel Night Flight, a dark purple creme, with gold stamping on my ring finger. I'll be watching Dexter, what are your plans for today?

Wet N Wild - Night Prowl

Hello! I closed my eyes and picked up this polish from my untrieds. It is Wet N Wild Night Prowl, a blackened purple with small purple glitter. It is opaque in 2 coats and looks almost black but it's not. I like the quality especially that I got it for 99 cents at Walgreens. I hadn't used my plates in a while so I did some stamping with Kleancolor Metallic Fuchsia and BM01. The result is really subtle and elegant. What do you think of it?

Coucou! J'ai fermé les yeux et choisi ce vernis parmi ceux que je n'ai pas encore essayés. I s'agit de Wet N Wild Boisé, un violet foncé avec des petites paillettes violettes. Il est opaque en 2 couches et semble presque noir, mais il ne l'est pas. J'aime sa qualité surtout que je l'ai eu pour 99 cents à Walgreens. Je n'avais pas utilisé mes plaques depuis un moment, alors j'ai fait du stamping avec Kleancolor Metallic Fuchsia et BM01. Le résultat est vraiment subtil et élégant. Qu'en pensez-vous?

K's Special Fridays #23 - I'm a Princess & Pinky Promise

TGIF! I got two special polishes to show you today but there's one I'm not very fond of so we are going to start with it. I'm A Princess (yep I didn't have any inspiration lol) is a purple to silver duochrome with holo glitter. I just don't like it because it is very sheer even after 4 coats (below). On the opposite, Pinky Promise is opaque in two coats :) Let me know what you think about it and see you next Friday.

Enfin Vendredi! J'ai eu deux vernis spéciaux à vous montrer aujourd'hui, mais il y en a un dont je ne suis pas très fière donc on va commencer avec lui. I'm A Princess (oui j'avais aucune inspiration lol) est un duochrome allant du violet au gris avec des paillettes holographiques. Je ne l'aime pas parce qu'il est pas opaque, même après 4 couches (ci-dessous). A l’opposé  Pinky Promise est opaque en deux couches :) Dites moi ce que vous en pensez et à Vendredi prochain.

No H8 Day - Say YES to tolerance and NO to bullying

Bullying is not funny. It is not cool. It is not right. And more importantly, it is not okay. Most of us are, thankfully, residents of countries that support tolerance and many of our families have settled in these places simply for that reason. Generations later, it is our responsibility to perpetuate that message of tolerance across our new social platforms, including the internet. As members of the nail polish blogging community, we all share a love of beauty, color, and lacquer. Other than that, we are remarkably different: from our race to our religion to our hair color...even to our polish application techniques. To marginalize anyone because of those differences is completely unacceptable and today I take a stand against that. I refuse to allow other people's view of "normal" dictate how I behave, believe, and blog. In solidarity with a multitude of bloggers linked below, my purple manicure represents my proud commitment to the No H8 movement. Today, November 8, I dedicate my post to ending bullying of any kind and to encouraging diversity and imperfection among our colorful community. My mani is a polish from French brand Salomé. I stamped the peace sign with Bundle Monster plate BM 320 and Kleancolor Metallic Purple. Thanks for reading and I hope you will take a stand against any type of bullying.

Hello lovelies! I did this mani on one of my friends nails last week, and I loved it so much that I decided to copy it. You know none of my friends knew about my blog and my interest in everything nail related and it was a big mistake of me to think that they would judge my hobby. It was the contrary because they totally love it, especially the nail polish parties.

Fall Into Autumn Challenge #4 - Cloudy Days

Good morning lovelies!
This theme is right on time as the weather has been cloudy for almost a month. It's rain rain rain and I can't wait for the sun to come back. I also have always wanted to try the "clouds nail art technique" so it was right on point! I have to say that I'm happy of the result, which was very easy to achieve. I started with one coat of Sally Hansen Black Out, followed by NYC Prince Street and Side Walkers. How do you like it?

K's Special Fridays #18 - Violetta

Good morning!
We continue with another polish made out of this magic pigment that is spectraflair. The first time I received it, I went overboard and made 16 holo polishes. As I told you before I don't remember the recipes of these so I'll go directly to the basics. Violetta is a blurple linear holo, opaque in two coats. I mixed blue with purple, few drops of black to darken it, then added the suspension base and 4 straw scoops of spectraflair.

Ludurana - Red Pink

Good morning!
Red Pink is another beauty created by Ludurana and part of its duochrome collection. Yes, the beautiful pink with purple shimmer and the deep purple are the same polish! I wore two coats by itself on my index and ring finger and layered one coat over black on the others. I could wear my nails like that I love the versatility and color match of this one. What do you think of it?

Ludurana - Magenta Gold

Morning lovelies!
Well I didn't really want to sheer (share) this one because I hate how the base looks by itself. Magenta gold is a yellow with pink shimmer when worn by itself and a deep purple with fine gold particles when layered over black. I will never wear it by itself, maybe I'll use it as an enhancement on my yellows to have that pink shimmer. What do you think of this one?

Flakies and Glitter manicure- Tutorial

I'm wishing you a beautiful start of the week! I'm exhausted as I spent time packing and u hauling. I got to go to the beach, which was the only relaxing part of my week end. I'm taking a deserving break and wish it could last more :) Ok on to the nails. I didn't know what to do so I picked some random untried polishes and came up with this reinvented french manicure. Hope you like it!

Lazy Days Of Summer #2 - Ombre

This is day 2 of the Lazy Days Of Summer challenge! It's Sunday, sunny and I'm going to the beach. I'm moving out in a couple weeks and most of my polishes are bubble wrapped and packed, so I will be doing this challenge with what I have in hand. Luckily purple is one of the color trend for summer 2012 and I had some untrieds that matched the ombre theme. I hope you like it!

K's Special Fridays #14 - Magic Potion

Hello again!
It's been a time since the last K Special Friday so I'm back with a franken that really came out of nowhere. I had some franken in round bottles and wanted them to be in my signature square bottle so it started from there. I just poured the extras into another bottle and Voila! We have Magic Potion. It was born from the mix of Rose, Candy Explosion, Hollywood Glam I, and Midnight Party. It is a squishy magenta jelly with round holo and small glitter. This is two coats with one coat of Seche vite. Love it!

Cacee BFF - Pixie

Good morning!
I hope you are having a good start of the day. I just can't wait for the week end to go out a little and my nails translate that lol. I have another Cacee BFF polish and this one is a silver scattered holo! Pixie is sheer enough to be a top coat but can also get to full opacity with three coats. As experienced before with Lucy another Cacee holographic that I have, the finish is grainy, so you need to add a top coat. Not a problem because I use it with almost every polish :) On to the pics!

KKCenterHK Review - Ebalay Iridescent Nail Polish A07

Good morning!

I was contacted by Maggie from KKCenterHK who offered me to review a product of my choice. My choice wasn't easy to make as this website carries nail decals, glitter, crakles, glow in the dark, matte polishes, and many more. They also have stamping plates but my attention focused on a particular collection of 11 multichromes. I chose Ebalay A07, which shifts from copper to blue to violet. The bottle shape is similar to those of OPI, it comes in 15ml, and retails for $7.24. Ebalay A07 is pretty sheer, so I layered two coats over Wet N Wild Black Creme and the formula applied nicely. It's not goopy nor runny, just perfect! I'm sure it will look beautiful over dark blues and purples. On to the pics!
