Hey there! I haven't worn flakies in a long time so I decided to dust them off and use it for todays' mani. My matte top coat has also been sitting in my nail polish rack for some time, and we all know that flakies + matte is a winning combo. I feel like my nails are on fire, love the rocky look. China Glaze - Ghoulish Glow

This is by far the hardest polish to photograph EVER! Like seriously I have had this polish for more than a year and wore it numerous times for girls night out, but I continuously failed at taking a picture of it. I googled and read many tutorials on how to photograph glow in the dark objects and still nothing. My camera didn't work, nor my S3 or Ipad. Morning beautiful! When I hear vintage, I think about black and white pictures in family albums, but also the gold and glamour 1920s era. I wanted my mani to be inspired by these 3 colors in today's Polish Days theme. I also wanted to celebrate my blog anniversary with something bold. I used OPI Alpine Snow, Konad Black with BM 318, topped with OPI The Man With The Golden Gun to achieve this look. On to the pics!

Gold and Black Abstract nails

Hello! I hope you are having a nice day. Mine is kind of boring so I put a special polish to cheer me up. I had received Layla Softouch 02 as a bday club gift. It's opaque in two coats and covers your nail with a glittery gold. The beauty of this polish is in its finish: it dries very fast with a matte/soft/non-glossy finish. I also did a saran nail art with Wet N Wild Black Creme on my ring finger. So have you tried the softouch effect? What do you think of it? Thanks for reading!

Coucou! J'espère que vous passez une bonne journée. La mienne est plutôt molle donc j'ai mis un vernis spécial pour me remonter le moral. J'avais reçu Layla Softouch 02 comme cadeau de mon club d'annif. Il est opaque en deux couches et couvre votre ongle avec une teinte or scintillante. La beauté de ce vernis est dans sa finition: il sèche très rapidement avec une finition mate/non brillante. J'ai aussi fait du saran nail art avec Wet N Wild Noir Crème sur mon annulaire. Black and white stamping polishes comparison

Wassup ladies, When I got into stamping, the only thing that made the difference was the polish, not the stamper, scrapper, or plate. I remember I wanted a nice black and white stamping polishes, and all my findings suggested Konad. Well I caved in and bought 3 Konad polishes (black, red, and white) but today I am comparing mainstream brands that are easily available and good for stamping.

Barry M Cobalt Blue ft Cover Band Sticks N Stones

Blue lover stop here! First I'm slowing a bit on nail art to appreciate plain colors. I will try to wear them alone for a day or two before spicing them up. I have on my nails Cobalt Blue by Barry M. The formula and brush size makes it easy to apply the polish. You get full coverage in one coat but I went with two. Cobalt Blue dries quickly, it's an amazing blue creme that you can wear all year. I love it as much as Nails Inc Baker Street (my ultimate blue) This is 2 coats of Cobalt Blue without top coat. Haha I'm glad that my friend Aimee in the UK gifted it to me.

Amoureuse de bleu viens par ici! D'abord, je vais ralentir le nail art pour apprécier les couleurs unies. Je vais essayer de les porter seules pendant un jour ou deux avant de les épicer avec du nail art. J'ai sur mes ongles Cobalt Blue de Barry M. Avec la formule et la taille du pinceau, c’est facile de mettre le vernis. Vous obtenez une couverture complète en une seule couche, même si j’en ai fait deux. Cobalt Blue  sèche rapidement, c’est un bleu crème étonnant que vous pouvez porter toute l'année. Je l'aime autant que Nails Inc Baker Street (mon ultime bleu) J’ai mis 2 couches de Cobalt Blue sans top coat. Haha, je suis contente qu’Aimée mon amie en Angleterre me l’ai offert en cadeau.

It's the technique that I  use for all my gradients. A gradient is a mix of colors that fade into each other. Not to be confused with ombre or skittles.

Fall Into Autumn Challenge #5 - Football

How are you lovely reader?
I did something very different for this theme. I had no football team to cheer for, so I did a soccer inspired manicure. I love soccer as a sport - I went to my first game at the national stadium a few weeks ago and it was a one in a lifetime experience - and as a francophone I sometimes think about soccer first when someone says football. I used one coat of Sally Hansen Lickety-Split Lime, then added NYC French White Tip, before stamping with Sally Hansen Black Out and Bundle Monster BM17. I did the little soccer ball with a sharpie. I'm very satisfied of the result, what do you think of it?

Fall Into Autumn Challenge #4 - Cloudy Days

Good morning lovelies!
This theme is right on time as the weather has been cloudy for almost a month. It's rain rain rain and I can't wait for the sun to come back. I also have always wanted to try the "clouds nail art technique" so it was right on point! I have to say that I'm happy of the result, which was very easy to achieve. I started with one coat of Sally Hansen Black Out, followed by NYC Prince Street and Side Walkers. How do you like it?

Today's theme is geometry, not my favorite class but I had fun translating it into nail art. I went simply with my favorite geometric figure, the circle. OPI - Black Spotted

Hello lovelies!
I got my hands on the precious OPI Black Spotted, thanks to a nail polish friend who sent it to me from France. As you know it was exclusively released as part of the Spiderman collection  in Sephora France. I like it better than the crackle effect. I layered one coat over China Glaze Ruby Pumps and you can notice that it's a learning curve. I have seen many girls complaining about it, it's all about the application, which is very tricky, you just need to wait for your base coat to be dry and apply a super duper really thin coat. I have also seen some complaints about Black Spotted peeling off when you apply a top coat over it. I did apply one coat of Seche Vite and didn't have any issues.
