Sparkly Gradient

Morning!
I did this nail art a long time ago, but didn't find the time to share it with you. I was inspired by the hot summery weather and taking vacations at the beach. To achieve this look, I used different OPI polishes and followed my gradient tutorial.  Let's look at the pics!

Bonjour!

Guest Post by Colores de Carol

Morning dears! Carolina, who runs the blog Colores de Carol has kindly accepted to guest post for me! Carolina and I go back from way before I started blogging. She was in my birthday group, and when I decided to go the indie route, I created a polish inspired by her :) Her nail art skills are the top of the game, and she is one of my favorite bloggers to follow. Enjoy what she prepared for you!

Red & Black Gradient Nail Art

Hello!
Today, I have for you a fierce and sexy gradient that was inspired by one of my purses. The gradient trend has expanded to clothing/accessories and I just love how I can translate it easily on my nails. I don't like to wear red polish by itself so I think this gradient is also a way to have sexy nails. As usual, I followed my gradient nails tutorial to achieve this look. What do you think of it?

What I used: OPI Big Apple Red, Wet N Wild Black Creme, Zoya Ziv
Salut!

Green Holographic Gradient

Me again!
I have this nice holo gradient to show you today. I did it with Brazilian brand La Femme Unica and Valiosa, two polishes that I got on Ninja Polish website. Unica is a seafoam green linear holo which is opaque in 2 coats. Valiosa is a deep army green linear holo who also cover the nail in 2 coats.
Cheers!
Encore moi!
Tchao!

My Jimmy Choo inspired nail art

Hello ladies!
One of my friends who is an avid Vogue reader sent me a pic of an ad of the new Jimmy Choo & artist Rob Pruitt "Capsule" collection. We were chatting on how we loved the shoe mix of lace and zebra when she challenged me to do a nail art inspired by it. Challenge accepted. It took me more than an hour to do these and I'm really proud of them. Let me know what you think about it!

What I used:
Base coat: Duri Rejuvacote
Base: NYC French White Tip
Gradient: OPI Jade Is The New Black, Green-Wich Village, Need Sunglasses, In My Back Pocket, Big Apple Red, Paint My Moji-toes Red, Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI
Stamping: Konad Black, Kleancolor Metallic Black, BM 314 & BM 223
Top coat: Seche
Bonjour mesdames/ mesdemoiselles!

Base: NYC French White Tip
Dégradé: OPI Jade Is The New Black, Green-Wich Village, Need Sunglasses, In My Back Pocket, Big Apple Red, Paint My Moji-toes Red, Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI

Gradient nails tuto

Hello!
Some of you requested a long time ago a gradient tutorial. I did it but I'm so sorry to only post it now. I hope the ease of it will make you want to try! It's the technique that I  use for all my gradients. A gradient is a mix of colors that fade into each other. Not to be confused with ombre or skittles.
Bonjour!

Hello!

Hi everyone! I’m Melissa from PassionForPolish :) First off I have to thank Karine giving me this amazing chance to guest post for her!

As I’m sure you all know Karine has a holo polish collection that could make any nail polish lover green with envy, not to mention the amazing holo frankens she whips up with ease! With all the holo polishes Karine has been showcasing lately I decided to pull out the few measly holographic polishes I have and think up some nail art to do.

First off I used a base coat of Sally Hansen Triple Strong and then one coat of Color Club Fashion Addict.

Lazy Days Of Summer #14 - BBQ Fun

Faya on my nails!
I'm sad as this is the last theme of the Lazy Days Of Summer Challenge and I love the mani I did for the BBQ fun. I love barbecues and did one as a farewell party. What's your favorite part of a barbecue? Mine is the fire, it always goes nut because everyone has its own theory on how to start a good fire or why the fire is not starting lol. I did a gradient with Sally Hansen Rapid Red, Essence Dancing In The Streets, and Sally Hansen Lightening, then free handed the flames with a fine nail art brush and Wet N Wild Ebony Hates Chris.

Fan Brush Gradient

Happy Monday lovelies!
This is a quick post to show you the gradient I achieved with a fan brush. I only used that brush to sprinkle glitter on my nails o.O I discovered the fan brush technique on Pinterest and wanted to give it a try. I went again with some polishes in my untrieds. The base is OPI Cuckoo For This Color and the gradient was done with L'Oreal Flight Perle and Sation Electric Blue. Let me know what you think about it :)

OPI Designer Series & co Party! (pics heavy)

Good morning!
Ok sit and relax, get some munchies and sodas before scrolling down! These are my treasures. For real I have a lot of holos but it's sentimental between me and my OPI Designer Series. It took me 7 months (since Dec 2011) of dusty hunting, stalking blog sales, ebay auctions, MUA swap list, and having good nail polish friends to complete my collection. I cherish it because I had to sweat to get it, we all know they are very hard to find. It's not the complete collection, my holo franken top coat has nothing to envy to Standing Room Silver Only, so yeah I only hunted the ones I like. I love the formula, one of the best and the application went perfect in two coats. All swatches are without top coat. On to the pics!

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Party!

Morning!
Today is the official start of  nail parties in which I will feature my stash of holo by brands. I'm starting with Glitter Gal, the Australian brand behind the 3D holographic collection, which is comprised of gorgeous linear holos. The formula applied like butter and dried fast in a shiny finish. All swatches are two coats of each polish with top coat. On to the pics!

Summery gradient and stamping!

It's me again!
Summer is my favorite season and to celebrate it, I wanted to do a really bright gradient. I was kind of surprised that I didn't have any greens, yellows, or oranges in my stash. so I went to the nail supply store and ended up with OPI Need Sunglasses? (a super bright yellow creme), OPI Green-Wich Village (grass green creme), and OPI In My Back Pocket (orange creme). I used a special sponge that I got from a Konad sponging kit but any make up sponge will do the trick. Hope you like it!

ASBMF #14: Spring design

Hello Lovelies!
The April Showers Brings May Flowers is coming to its end. I had so much fun doing it and met so many nice ladies! For the last theme, which is the "Spring design of your choice", I decided to do a simple gradient with some polishes I freshly received from Brazil :) I love how it turned out and how easy it was. On to the pics, hope you like it!
