Fail!
I'm disappointed with Essence for the formula of this polish. The basic story: I see online swatches, drool over them for months, decide to swap for it, try it and then... disaster. Yes, Confetteria looks gorgeous in the 8 ml bottle, and yes the pictures are nice too, but it was a pita to apply! The formula is thick and goopy. Layer too much and you can't see the glitter through the dark blue jelly base. A thin layer will drag the thick base, making it difficult to apply. I added a few drops of thinner in it and I like it better this way. I layered it over Soflajo Guardian of the Lake. In terms of formula, I think I prefer Blue Addicted. What do you think of it? Did you have the same issues?
All swatches show one coat of Confetteria over Guardian of the Lake, topped with Seche vite.

I had this trouble when I applied it as well! It was like glue!!!
ReplyDeleteugh I dont know if thinner is going to solve it or make it worst
DeleteSame problems. It wasn't extremely bad for me, though. Still, not too much fun to apply.
ReplyDeleteI know, but it's so pretty that I'm going to keep it lol
DeleteIt is pretty! That's to bad you had a problem.
ReplyDeletemaybe we had a bad batch, but it's ok lol I mean it's not the end of the nail polish world
DeleteI saw this post in my feed and thought how bad I wish Essence sold in Canada... and then read it. I guess it's not all roses and cookies huh =P
ReplyDeletelol def right!
DeleteNever tried this one but that sucks that the formula wasn't good!
ReplyDeleteI dont regret trying it at all, but next time I'll read reviews before getting any glitter jelly like this one
DeleteMan, that sucks that the formula sucks so bad because this is gorgeous!
